Jewel has grown so fast, she can talk already! Yes hard to believe right? She talks to us all the time, from the moment she wakes up until she dozes off at night.
Now, if only we can understand all she’s saying, it would be much better hehe.
But still, it’s really cute to hear she speak. The following are her most spoken baby words
burr-leu-bies : teletubbies
ma-maus : mickey mouse
bobo’ : spongebob
momo : elmo
osh : wash (she likes to wash her hands..)
wowouu : dog (actually she can say dog but sometimes, she’d say wowou)
plish : please
e-lo : milo packet drinks (actually those are meant for Jordan but she likes them too)
ba-ball : ball
a-loon : balloon
and she has no problem saying these:
mommy / daddy / gege (brother in Mandarin)
cat
car
sleep o-oii
nenen
hello / bye bye
sit
where
Well, she’s turning 2 in a couple of months time, so I guess he vocab would expand more.
Okay we don’t have summer here in the island of Borneo but if I don’t use that word, then it won’t be catchy… anyway, what I meant by summer here is the school holidays which ended this week.
Jordan is back to school after a couple of weeks’ holiday. So it’s back to the early morning rise routine, which is extra hard considering the World Cup 2010 which is going on now.
My last post here was in April, so I guess it’s high time for me to add something here. I think I’ll just give a summary of what we’ve done during the holidays.
Our highlights would be the first weekend, where all of us together with my wife’s family went up to Kundasang! Lots to talk about that, probably in another post (if I’m not lazy). We stayed in Borneo Homestay for a night.
We also explored the new shopping complex in town, Suria Sabah and tried out the 3D cinema, which brings me to the highlight of this post.
The following are all the movies we brought Jordan to watch during the holidays.
Few days ago while chatting with Jordan, the subject of school class came up. We told him that next year, students will be assigned to different class according to their performance in school. Not wanting to push him in his studies (yet!), we ask him his target, which class he wants to go.
Jordan: I don’t want to go to the smartest class.
Mommy: Why?
Jordan: Because all the children study only, they don’t know how to play.
Mommy: Oooo-kay.
Jordan: BUT… I don’t want to go to the last class also!
Mommy: Ohh.. why?
Jordan: Because it is TOO FAR FROM THE CANTEEN!
Mommy: …..
Well - at least he has a target and it comes from himself! Middle class it is! Hahaha.
