Rush Hour 3, Evan Almighty Reviews

Last week was an unprecedented and historical week for us, at least ever since we became parents lah. We managed to catch 2 NEW MOVIES in a span of 3 days! They were Rush Hour 3 and Evan Almighty.

We watched Rush Hour on Wednesday night while Jordan was under the care of my in-laws. The movie didn’t dissappoint. Funny like the previous 2 instalments, especially the part where Carter (Tucker) were confused by the Chinese names while in the kung-fu school.

If you saw the trailer, you’d know this part.

Carter : Who are you?
Old Man: Yu.
Carter : No not me, you?
Old Man: Yes, I am yu.
Carter : Are you deaf?
Old Man: No, Yu is blind.
Carter : You.
Old Man: Yes?
Carter : Not you Yu, him!
Mee: Yes?
Carter : What’s your name?
Mee: Mee.
Carter : Yes you!
Mee: I am Mee. It is me.
Old Man: And I am Yu.
Carter : And I’m gonna whoop your …

Another part is where they interrogate the french-speaking assassin with the help of a nun -

Carter : Tell him sister, that his mother is a H!
Lee : No.. W… Whore starts with a W..

The second movie was not as funny but enjoyable too, it teaches you a powerful lesson in being humble and kind, especially to your family and stray dogs hehe.

One funny scene where an animal suddenly appears out of nowhere while Evan was driving, and he shouted “SHHHHIIIII…” and just when you thought he was about to say shit, he said “shee…p”.. as it was a sheep at the back hehehe.

The movie really build-up the suspense, especially when everyone was mocking Evan for his ark-building during the drought season. And with all the humiliation and sarcasm his neighbours were throwing at him, you were hoping the rain will start soon and punish the unbelievers hehe.

Well I’m not gonna spoil it for you though. In the end, God taught Evan to have 1 ARK everyday.. which is 1 Act of Random Kindness.
