My son is English

Yesterday, on the way to school, my wife got into a conversation with Jordan about his heritage. It revolves around him having some chinese in his blood.

Mommy : Your Aki is half Chinese and your Grandma (maternal) is also half Chinese.
*Jordan calls his paternal grandparents Odu and Aki, while maternal grandparents as grandmom and grandad.

Jordan : Ooo.

Mommy : Your Odu and Grandad are Kadazan, so that’s why you’re a Kadazan mixed with Chinese.

(few moment of silence)

Jordan : …. but Mommy, I thought I am English?

We chuckled at his response! Clever lah my kid, mentang2 speaking, now he’s an English kid sudah.

My english son entertaining his guest and fav cousin Alyssa, in his cardboard house.
