Pictures from science camp

We ended up telling Jordan about the science camp on Friday morning and that was because he was in no mood to go to school, so we had to use ‘ammunition’ to fire him up that morning. At least that night he can get to sleep but that Saturday morning was funny, in a rare display of early morning hyperness, he got out of bed, stretched out his arms and announced to us (while we were still in bed) -
okay mommy and daddy, I’m up! it’s time to go to camp!
He even declined his morning milk but we forced him to eat fried mee. So here are the pictures from the science camp which was held in SJK Chung Hwa, Likas.

Showing his obedient and calm side.
The tables all set for little scientists to cause havoc.
Just like his first day in school, he was asking us to leave quickly. He probably thought the event would start as soon as we leave. Since many of the facilitators heard him asking us to go, we were embarrassed to be the ones who is “clingy” to our kid. We saw many of the facilitators so we knew he’s in good hands so we left.
We came back at 11.30pm and saw many parents were allowed in already, so we went into the hall and took a few more shots.
Jordan checking out the some of the freebies from the bag.
Jordan during the cheer. His face is partly hidden behind
the hand with the pink sleeves (I’ve added the blue arrow).
Goodies! A bag, certificate, stickers, notepad, astro pens, wall-E car sticker, accompanying science book
and a small portion of the green slime which they mixed.
Somehow an excited Jordan forgot to close the cap of his water bottle properly and placed it in the bag, causing a mini flood. His certificate suffered a small cut on the bottom right corner but nothing that sellotape couldn’t fix.
The science book
Green slime that glows in the dark. We ended up playing with this slime as I made characters out of them in the dark and asked Jordan to identify it hehe.
I wanted to post a video of the cheer here but it is taking forever to upload on youtube, so maybe in another post.
In all, Jordan enjoyed himself and made a few friends as well (though he can’t recall any of their names
). Hopefully they will come back next year with different subjects so that Jordan can join again.
