Eat your own placenta

Date Posted by Jeffrey on October 24, 2008

Okay call me ignorant but I didn’t know that some people do eat their placenta after giving birth! It seems gross with a little bit of cannibalism but, as long as you don’t eat other people’s placenta I guess it would be fine.

I came across an article with a recipe for cooking a placenta! *gulp* - anyway, when it mentioned about mammals eating theirs, it reminded me when I first witnessed a cat, well my cat actually, delivered a few kittens back in my teens. After 4 of 5 cute kittens fell off, the mother tried to swallow the last kitten (or so I thought).

I tried to strangle my cat while spanking its behind, saying “bad cat! bad mother cat!” but then my mom screamed at me to let the cat swallow it. She said it wasn’t a kitten. Hahaha was I an idiot.

Anyway, for those of you who wants to eat their placenta to get the nutritional elements from it, then get the recipe from this article here.

The placenta from my wife’s deliveries of my 2 children were buried at my in-laws backyard. I guess it won’t taste as good now.

my mother in-law buried my sister in-law’s placenta from her second child at the back of the house as well. but buried with it, are pencil and paper. reason being…so that the child become an intelligent person. LOL! i never question that though cos it isn’t my place to be bothered about it.
