Here’s a picture that I took in front of Hotel Bundusan, Beverly Hills on the 1st day of CNY (I bet ya didn’t know there’s a hotel there huh?)

This CNY is especially enjoyed by Jordan - not that he got a lot of ang-pows but finally, he gotten over his fear of lion dance! Yes, before this he would run for cover whenever he hears the sound of the drums.

This time, he was asking us to trail any lorry with the lion dance group to wherever their next stop was. Even a bout of flu couldn’t stop him.

On the first day of CNY, we managed to catch a performance in Beverly Hills. Ngam2 my brother wanted to buy 4D (”ada special draw bah” he said), then as we were turning out we saw the group setting up their props.

The group had unicorn, lion, dragon and even those Chinese clowns with large should pads.

Jordan got a first class view, though from the side as he stood on the back of a Hilux parked there (To the anonymous owner, thanks and sorry for dirtying the bumper)

First we thought he was contented with what he saw but once we were inside the car after the show, he asked us to wait until the lion group really went away, then we would leave the place!

While the boys were out, the girls were left behind at home. My wife and Jewel were trying to catch some sleep in the midst of random firecrackers and lion groups walking about looking for angpows.

I’m pretty sure Jewel was doing this all the time!

Yes - this little girl has mastered the art of getting on her belly for a few weeks already. In addition to that, she also knows how to turn her face and close her mouth if we were to give her medicine, cries for mommy, grab and pull anyone’s hair as long as it’s within reach and putting objects into her mouth (her menu nowadays are her pillows, bolster and blanket).

Hmmm - now I think I know why Jordan wants to get ouf of the house!

Kidding bah - Jordan adores his sister very much!
