CNY 2009 Open House

Date Posted by Jeffrey on February 4, 2009

Last monday evening, my wife’s MD (also my ex-MD) held a CNY open house, right after work. Jordan was the most excited especially after I told him that there’ll be a lion dance performance. We told him only when we fetched him and Jewel at the nursery.

Luckily I didn’t tell him in the morning, I’m sure he can’t concentrate in class and couldn’t sleep in the afternoon. The house was in the same vicinity as their nursery, so we were there in no time, saving us from the “are we there yet?” barrage of questions.

Jordan was the only kid when this picture was taken. When the others were already there, sorrylah if I can find him, let alone take a picture.

Jewel happy to meet her Godmother again! or is it the other way round? :D

Phew - finally Jordan took the courage to stand beside the lion head. Itu pun sebab ramai budak lain dekat2.

When the lion dance came, we were worried more for Jewel as we didn’t want the loud drumming sound to scare her. Boy were we wrong!

Unlike her brother who was running around patting the lion’s buttocks, or specifically the guy’s buttocks, Jewel was unimpressed by all the loud drums and screams of excited children.

Her eyes were all droopy and halfway through the performance, she fell asleep. See the video of her sleeping below (quite dark though).

Below are some more pictures from the evening.
