Jewel Trinity’s 1st Birthday Party

Okay before you fill up the complaint form, I will admit it myself - THIS POST IS LONG OVERDUE! I procrastinate too much (you know it took me almost 2 minutes just to write that word, why lah they make that word so hard to spell. Then after I’ve typed the correct spelling,  my brain told me I could’ve used the word lazy). That’s it, I will not write a blog post at 1am in the morning again.

Back to the topic, our princess Jewel Trinity had her 1st birthday party on Friday 28th Aug 2009, right on her actual birthday. Actually we didn’t want to do it on a Friday but the restaurant was booked over the weekends so we had no choice.

Our budget was quite limited this year, resulting in limiting everything from number of guests to number of dishes. And you know what was the hardest part when you’re limited to having your guests? It’s selecting them.

It’s hard to invite only 1 or 2 persons from a department or group, because then the rest of the people within that group would start asking questions. So it’s either invite the whole kampung or invite none at all. And we had to go with the undesirable choice.

So if you didn’t get the invite, don’t think that we dislike you. It’s just that you mixed with the wrong people - KIDDING!

Talking about that night, everything went well. The food was good (nobody complained, so I guess they’re all good), the cake was beautiful, the cupcakes were delicious (thanks Di!), the guests turnout was excellent, Jewel was gorgeous and she wasn’t cranky!

I had a video presentation prepared for everyone too. Unfortunately some weren’t able to see it clearly due to the columns but you can watch it here.

Thanks to everyone present that night! The picture slideshow is coming up but if you prefer to see it one by one, then check it out here.
