Jordan : Daddy, Mommy - do you call a group of little boys and girls “children”?
Me : Yes
Jordan : and “kids” also?
Me : Yes. However if they’re all boys only, you call them boys. If there are only girls, you call them girls. If there are boys and girls together, you can just call them “children” or “kids”.
Jordan : Ohh… but what if the boys pretend to be girls and the girls pretend to be boys? What do you call them?
Last Saturday we went for the third review of my wife’s pregnancy. Our appointment was however pushed almost 2 hours back, luckily the nurse called us before we went out of the house, so we ended up having our lunch in Wisma Merdeka first and Jordan bought a DVD of Dora the Explorer using his ang-pow money.
By the time we went to the doctor’s office at around 3pm, we were the 2nd last parents. Anyway, I was so surprised to see the development of the baby since the last time we saw it through the monitor, the foetus was just a dot. Now we can see the nose (mancung eh), eye sockets, spine, fingers, feet and knees hehehe. Gender cannot see yet, probably the next visit.
And as was the previous visit, the baby was quite active when put on the monitor - kicking, turning, the baby even waved at Jordan! Of course Jordan promptly said “Hi baby!!!!”, then he told us “Wah the baby waved at me oh kan?” hehe.
Here’s a compilation of the baby scans, stretching his legs and pushing its body upwards!
Active kan? To think that its total length is only a few centimetres.
The doctor asked Jordan what he wanted the baby to be, a boy or girl.
Jordan answered “A boy - just like me!”
Wah the doctor liked Jordan’s reply, she said usually others would only answer boy or girl, but Jordan has an extra condition, which is “just like me”.
Hmmmmmmmmmmm - I’m not sure what he means by that - but I hope, boy or girl, his siblings would have the same charm and attitude. Not forgetting cute also hehehe.
Oh man - it has been like almost a month since I last updated this blog. Actually I’m supposed to blog about our visit to the doctor and I was surprised my last entry was about our last visit
Anyway, last Friday was my God-son’s 5th birthday and a small party was held at his house. I’ll let the pictures do the talking (yeah I know I said I was supposed to post about our latest visit to the doc, but we need to scan the print-out of the “baby” first).
Jordan posing as if he was eating the meatball - actually he only ate the outer crusts, right after this pic was taken he moved on to the fries on his plate.
Where there’s cake, there will be kids nearby. From left, Gabriel, Jeremiah (birthday boy), Serena (standing behind), Rachel and Jordan.
Everyone asked to be happy - look at Serena at the back - isn’t that CUTE! Hahaha we were laughing so hard seeing her doing that. Jordan biasa lah, control macho.
Last Saturday, we went for the 2nd review of Jo’s pregnancy. Though we didn’t wait as long as our first session 3 weeks ago, we were the last one to see the Dr Felice.
Everything is okay, in fact, the fetus wriggled so much inside Jo’s uterus that the doc exclaimed
I’ve never seen a baby wriggled so much at 8 weeks!
And all of us quickly turned to Jordan who was busy wriggling - I mean moving around on the same bed his mommy was in - hmmmm - either his younger brother will be as active as him or, even more active! Hahaha - whatever lah, as long as he or she is healthy!
As usual, Jordan was busy chatting away with the doctor, always trying to be involved in whatever conversation the doctor was telling us. Last week she told us that Jordan’s English has some of that accent - British or American, not sure but I guess it’s Astro-accent (you know lah, Disney, Nickoledeon with a tiny mix of MTV).
Now Dr Felice cannot tahan and told him “You know Jordan, I like the way you speak”.
Instead of saying “Thank you” or just keep quite, Jordan replied this way :
Is it cuteeeeeeeeeeee???
Adui - Dr Felice was laughing so hard - she gasped for breath 3 times and she was still laughing hard. The nurse also laughing already behind me.
