Jordan off to a camp!

Date Posted by Jeffrey on August 14, 2008.

This Saturday is the start of the 1-week school holiday and we have a surprise for our sweet Jordan - we’re sending him to a camp! Well not any 3-days camp like that, just a 3-hour camp hehe. It is the astro life’s Discover LearningLabs camp which will be held this Saturday in Chung Hwa.

We had to pay RM50 for the junior labs. I don’t know much about it, all I know is it’s a science camp. Here’s a description of it from their website:

Designed especially for the young ones, these half-day camps are fast-paced, varied and captivating. Packed with “hands-on”, multi-sensory material, experiments, activities, learning games and songs, these expert-designed camps are tailored for curious minds and big imaginations. They are sure to grab your child’s attention & instill a love for learning while giving them a head start in science. Only child-safe chemicals & lab-ware are used.

Jordan with a moustache

I’m sure my hyper Jordan will be among the loudest there. The organiser said parents cannot stay and take pictures. They will take pictures. Yeah and I bet they will sell it to us at a higher price.

Anyway, Jordan doesn’t know this yet so in case you happen to meet him before this Saturday, don’t mention it ya? We’re afraid he couldn’t sleep on Friday night!

So I was goofing around with a photoshop tutorial. I gave Jordan some magical powers hehe. You can see the original picture on the previous post. Sshhhh I did this in the office so don’t tell my boss.

Big brother role

Date Posted by Jeffrey on July 14, 2008.

Jordan at 1BorneoFor months now, Jordan has also been anticipating the arrival of his younger sibling next month. We’ve also been telling him that soon he will be a big brother and he will have to take care of the baby too.

A few Sundays ago, he was full of laughter and joy as usual. Then at the breakfast table, with a serious face he asked us a question, it was a strange question. It went something like this (with the grammar fixed).

Jordan: Mommy, why was I born first?

Jo: ai? Why are you asking that Jordan?

Jordan: I don’t want to be the big brother. I want to be the little boy.

Jo: But you are still a little boy. You’re our little boy.

Jordan: But later we will have small baby?

Jo: It doesn’t matter. Being a big brother doesn’t mean you have to stop having fun and cannot playing games.

Jordan: oo.

So we kinda figured out that he thinks being a big brother means you can’t have fun anymore and he needs to be a big boy. After that question, my wife and I agreed that we shouldn’t emphasize too much on him being a “role model” for the younger one.

Now, we just remind him about all the fun things that we can do with a new baby in the house. Hopefully he will not be as nervous as his parents lah.

Dancing skills

Date Posted by Jeffrey on July 9, 2008.

Jordan likes to dance. I mean, really really likes to dance. While watching tv, if suddenly there’s a hot beat on air, he will be dancing in front of us without any warning. So last Saturday, while attending a wedding function, the dance floor was open.

So Jordan needs no invitation to dance. He danced like nobody’s business close to half an hour. What I’ve uploaded is just a sample. I was kicking myself for forgetting to bring my digital cam, all I had was my nokia handphone. I saw another lady was taking videos of Jordan dancing too, so if you come across it on youtube (or anywhere else), let me know.

Okay, watch the video below and tell me, he got talent or what? Hehehe.

.. and yes, the occasional cheer from the table was for him.

4D Face Scan

Looks like someone was in a bad mood when this was taken hehehe.

Baby : Aiyaaa… is it review time again? What does a foetus needs to do to get some sleep around here?

This 4D (not 4D lottery ah) print out was taken last Saturday, 5th July 2008. You know why they call it 4D ah? Cuz it’s a series of “moving” 3D images that allows the doctor and patients to see the 3D in real-time.

Eh that means, when printed it’s back to 3D. Oh well - never mind.

Doctor and Jo said the lips looks like me. Ya ka? Hehehe.
